She crushes blocks of ice in an old baptismal font and guides people through the cold with a sure hand. Annemarie Anang has made the icy water her main tool for health, presence and inner strength – today she runs unique ice baths in Grängesberg's mission church as a certified instructor of the Wim-Hof method. 

"Ice baths have helped me with focus and self-confidence. It makes me feel like I can handle anything," says Annemarie.

The over 120-year-old mission church in central Grängesberg has been given new life. Within its walls there are many different activities where the church contributes historical charm. Now you can spend the night in the room where church coffee was once served.

The doors of the mission church are reopened.


During the event "Julmys" Candlelight Studios had an "Open House" for the first time. Around 100 people came and were given a tour of the old mission church premises. Some of the visitors tried ice baths at the altar. - A church is usually a place where people meet, so we want this one to be one too, says Annemarie Anang.
